AUTOLINE COASTAL SYSTEM™ Mustad have introduced a low cost modular for smaller boats with limited budgets.  A system for 5, 10 or 15,000 hooks bringing the benefits of autolining to more fishermen.  The system consists of the following modules:

MUSTAD COASTAL BAITING MACHINE The Mustad baiting machine for Autoline Coastal System is based on the same technical solutions as Mark 3.  The machine has a compact design, requires little space and is very reliable.  'Coastal' is furnished with Mustad's patented baiting system - Mustad RotoBaiter™ unit can easily be replaced without stopping the setting process.  Operated by one person and baits up to 3 hooks per second.  'Coastal' is made from acid-proof steel and is supplied with an integrated receptacle/tank for left-over bait.   Operational Function The Coastal Baiting Machine will automatically: - cut the bait at a pre-set size - bait the hook - set the hook & line over the stern

The whole bait-fish is placed on a conveyor chain which feeds the bait into the machine. When the hooks are pulled through the machine they trigger the knife, the bait piece is cut and the hook baited simultaneously.

MUSTAD V400™ LINE HAULER

 

Line hauler made from stainless steel with composite sheaves.  Can also be delivered as a complete unit with Hook Cleaner/Fish Stripper and waste receptacle.   Operational Function The LineHauler pulls the gear from the ocean over the RailRoller and through the HookCleaner. SV12A LINE HAULER   Combined Hauler & Stripper   Operational Function The line is hauled over the bulwark roller and through a set of brushes which clean old bait off the hooks.  The line then continues to a direction wheel, which directs it into the line sheave.  The line is automatically released from the roller by a knife located under the sheave.  From there, the line coils down into a tub or is transferred to a splitting machine.   Click Here for Technical Specifications     MUSTAD HOOK SEPARATOR SP1000™   The SP 1000 is a modified version of SP 2000 and uses Magnets, placed in a special designed pattern, to guide the hooks onto one of the two Hook Catcher Plates. The hook catching principle is highly efficient, has no moving parts and maintenance is minimal. The SP 1000 is made from heavy-duty stainless steel and with Steel Sheaves. The pressure wheel is spring loaded. A special hook guide design reduces wear on hooks and gear and ensures an efficient racking result. The SP 1000 can be delivered with a larger 315 motor and can then be used as the main hauling unit when fishing in shallow water.   Operational Function The main function of the SP 1000 unit is to pick up the hooks and guide them onto the storage magazines. This is done automatically and consistently as the gear is hauled onboard. A secondary function is that the unit is also a Slack Taker keeping tension on the gear coming from the main hauler. The SP 1000 can operate efficiently at high speed and thereby allow the vessel to haul back more gear per day.   Optional functions The SP 1000 can also be delivered with a High Pressure Water Pump and accessories, which will give the additional functions of Twist Remover and Gear Cleaner. With an OMPW 315 hydraulic motor, the unit will function as a combination of Main Hauler and Hook Separator. This alternative will save deck space and reduce total cost.   Click Here for Technical Specifications   COASTAL STORAGE MAGAZINE SYSTEM™    Small vessels tend to roll quite a lot. This makes it especially important to focus on safety and good working conditions on board. MagPacker Coastal has been developed with special emphasis on safety and function. One person, who can easily transport the storage magazines to settings and hauling positions by means of simple operations, operates the system. Magpacker Coastal is supplied with Mustad standard magazines. All made from stainless steel.   Operational Function The storage racks or Magpackers are places right after the Hook Separator and hauling magazine. The magazines are retrieved for setting by a simple hand manoeuvre. Empty magazines are stored above the rack awaiting retrieval of the gear. This is a compact unit and requires little space. For hauling the gear, the process is reversed.
