Bait
loss during setting due to various species of sea birds is
periodically a problem for the longline fleet.
Mustad's
Autoline Setting Tube™ may be mounted to the stern and leads
the line directly into the sea, thus making the bait
inaccessible to foraging seabirds.
The
Autoline Setting Tube™ improves stability during setting
regardless of weather conditions, and as a consequence
improves baiting quality, thereby improving catch results.
The
Autoline Setting Tube™ is produced from heavy duty 316
stainless steel and is equipped with a solid hinge system,
built to withstand extreme loads. |

AUTOLINE
H3000 LINE HAULER
|
Produced
in stainless steel. Heavy-duty construction. 3.5-ton pull on
the capstan. Delivered with direct drive radial
piston motor. Choice of steel or composite sheaves. A complete
unit can be delivered, which will include an attachment for
Autoline LineController, Hook Cleaner, Line Retriever and
Waste receptacle.
Operational
Function
The Line Hauler pulls the gear from the ocean, over the
RailRoller and through the Hook Cleaner. The Line Retriever,
synchronized with the Line Hauler, keeps constant tension on
the gear to prevent slack and passes it through guide tubs to
the Hook Separator.
The combined Hook Cleaner/Fish Stripper removes fish and the
spring-loaded brushes clean the hook of set bait and other
debris. High-pressure water jets can be connected to the Hook
Cleaner. |

AUTOLINE
SP2000™
|
The
SP 2000 utilizes Magnets placed in a special designed pattern to guide the hooks onto one of the two Hook Catcher
Plates. This hook-catching principle is highly
efficient, has no moving parts and maintenance is minimal. The
Hook Separator is made from heavy duty stainless steel and
with Composite Material Sheaves. The pressure wheel is powered
by a hydraulic motor and synchronised with the main hauling
motor. A new hook guide design reduces wear on hooks and gear
and ensures an efficient racking result. The Hook Separator
has built-in high pressure water jets for cleaning of gear and
untangling of hooks & snoods.
Operational
Function
The
main function of the Hook Separator unit is to pick up the
hooks and guide them onto the storage magazines. This is done
automatically and consistently as the gear is hauled onboard.
